We started the creative process by  testing different camera moves with SPIKE, The Marmalade's high-speed motion-control system as we needed to find out how close we could get to the sole while following a runners step in realtime.

The camera moves were precisely planned, not only in relation to the movement of the athletes but also in terms of transitions and the ideal in- and out-points of each shot.

We wanted to let the camera feel fluid throughout the entire film, to underline the story of one continuous runners flow.
